Sirius Star® 88 features 88 inclined facets (octagonal main facet design with four-tier pavilion). All the facets are indexed and inclined to present the maximum actual and virtual facet definition.
In Chinese culture, the number 8 is one of the numbers believed to have auspicious meaning, because its name sounds similar to words that have positive meanings- “prosper” or “wealth”. In some regional dialects the words for “eight” and “fortune” are also similar. There is also a visual resemblance between two digits, “88”, and 囍, the “shuāng xĭ” (“double joy”), a popular decorative design composed of two stylized characters 喜 (“xĭ” meaning “joy” or “happiness”).
