A lot of things happened in 1969.

Whilst playing in her yard in Princeton, LA- a little girl found a “pretty” stone. This “pretty” stone weighed around 18 carat and is claimed to be the tenth largest diamond ever found in the United States. It was acquired by CE Mounce, a Shreveport dealer, who has it cut into three individual stones by the Lazare Kaplan. The largest, a 3.47 carat oval, has been named the LA Mounce and was kept by Mr. Mounce. The 2.75 carat heart shape was offered for sale for $ 7,500 at the time and the 2.27 marquise was sold for an undisclosed sum.
